its showtime

I Can't even remember the last time i've been on here. It seems like months when in reality it was probably only a couple weeks. I have been non stop busy with overtime everyday since My recial is coming up soon, and also b/c my boss broke her foot so I have had to take over all of her classes too. It's costume week, its time for magic rehearsal, and its also our busy time of the year at the plastic surgery office. That does not include everything else thats going on this time of year such as graduation parties, bbq's, birthdays, and extra dance classes and shows. So basically I have no time to be on here lol sooo thats the update. It'll probably be another month til the next post, so I hope everyone's enjoying the beautiful weather out there! I hope to see everyone at my show, if you need tickets be sure to ask me they're $13.50 a piece to see the most awesome show in the world lol. NO EXAGGERATION MY PARENTS TELL ME THAT EVERY YEAR :-) J.K

Easter Part 2!

Easter Sunday!!! I woke up very tired since Easter was one of my best friend's birthdays and we decided it would be best to celebrate that the night before! Happy Birthday again Travis lol! But after gettin over the initial shock of how quickly morning came I of coursed jumped out of bed to get ready for all of my family to come over. Once all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents showed up we had a really nice time. Of course we had some of the most amazing food, starting out with my Aunt Sue's famous appetizers, and ending with my parents Home made fresh strawberry pie. I have never in my life tasted a better pie my family really rocks with the cooking and baking. Jon who joined us after work of course helped me play with my little cousins all night, with some easter egg hunts, some air hockey, board games and dress up lol that was for the little girls only. hah. Over all it was just an entirely enjoyable day, with lots of love, food, games, and family togetherness. Our day of course couldn't end without my youngest cousin Heather saying something hilarious. She went on this huge rant on why Jon wasn't at our house right away. Asking why pep boys doesn't believe in god, lol bc if they did they would have given him off on easter haha how cute. My little cousins just love jon and love to spend as much time with him as possible! I love how my family just meshes well! Hope everyone else's Easter was as great as ours was!!

Easter Weekend part 1

I had such a wonderful long weekend! It started off with a night in Atlantic city with my Mom. I know random right? We decided it had been awhile since we had some quality mother daughter time, and thought it would be a blast to go to the casino's. We also invited Mrs. Buckingham, and one of our co-workers (at the plastic surgery office) Tara.

Well Tara is so friendly she can make friends anywhere, and last time she had gone to ac she had made a friend who was lookin into some plastic surgery. Well she was so thrilled with her results she told Tara and my mom the next time we go to Harrah's (which is where we stayed),and anytime we wannna go back :-) she would hook us up. Her job at Harrah's is to take care of the high rollers and keep them happy. Well the lady kept her promise, she put us on the top floor in one of the suites. With king size beds, flat screen tv's, the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen, I mean we even had a doorbell that would make our lights flash in case we didn't hear the bell lol,and it was all comped. It was awesome!!

To top everything off, My mom tara, Mrs. B, and I had a blast! We got to hear an amazing band play, and i mean super amzing, every guy in the band could sing and play every instrument. I've never seen a multi talented band before. We were dancing, we gambled a little bit and the next morning we got up early (not too early the awesome Harrah's lady got us a late check out 2) and shopped at the outlets.

We all were able to find some awesome deals. My mom and Tara were able to find some great clothes. But Mrs. B and I found something even better. The coach store was having a major blow out sale, and everything was 50% off. Now, I would never spend 100 dollars on a purse, so I have never owned anything coach or kate spade or anything like that b/c I work hard for my money. But I couldn't resist this time b/c I mean come on people 50% off lol. So I now officially own a pink and beautiful coach purse lol. I have officially given in, and Mrs. B did also haha

The Moral of the story don't go into a coach store when everything is 50% off lol, but do try to plan special days with your mom. She might surprise you, and you won't regret it! I made some new friends, got some new stuff, bonded with my mom, and it was a perfect start for my Easter Weekend!

It's Magican season

It's officially Magic season! We are booked every weekend this month in Ny which is fantastic bc not only is it extra money but this could potentially lead to a wonderful booking..........IN FLORIDA!!!! How awesome would it be if we got the job? I'm very excited bc so far the farthest we've traveled has been to maryland. It's so aweseom to see our show take off and who knows the florida trip could lead to bigger and better things. One of our close Magician friends gets a booking in hong kong every year, and we're startin to catch up to him. Now who knows maybe that will be us in a year or two. Traveling is so important to me, I love learning all about new cultures and doing things i've never done before. So keep your fingers crossed that we do welll :-) OH and another thing, I finally got a gps system. I travel so much for magic and lets face it mapquest sucks, so I've been wantin one for a really long time. Well I was able to find A very VERY good Garmin gps for only $150 dollars which is insane!!! I'm so excited to play with my new toy hehe. One thing that im very happy about is that if the route i chose has too much traffic, and I decide I don't want to wait in it, it will find me a totally different/faster way to go. It's funny too bc I can chose any accent I want for when it's tellin me directions lol some of them are really funny especailly the british and austrailian one! HAHAH new toyss are so much fun!!

crazyyy weekend

I have an insane weekend coming up so I prolly won't be on here for awhile.

1)Lets start it off with today how Monsters vs. Aliens comes out in 3-d ahhhh IM sooooo excited cant wait to see it at 7 tonight!!
2)Then it's off to phILLY to celebrate Dave's 22nd birthday!!! Happy Birthday Dave can't wait to see ya!!!
3)Unfortunately though I will have to wake up early to teach my adorable 3 year olds saturday morning
4)Then it's off to Philly again for my friend Jeff's 24th birthday party!!This one will be really fun since we're goin on a party bus woo hoo. Happy Birthday to you too Jeffreyyy!!!!!
5)Then I have magic practice early sunday morning which is always fun when were learning new tricks
6)somewhere after magic I have to fit in some work laundry and my laundry and hope that I don't crash from exhaustion from this non stop weekend!! Hope everyone else has a great fun jam packed weekend 2!!!!

Baby Gavin

Friends!!!

I am so fortunate to have so many different groups of friends. I love that I have school friends, dance friends, jon's friends, my friends, and I absolutely love that when theres a party and we sqeeze in all these different groups of people that they all get along. What more could I ask for. I have been to many places when this group doesn't get along with that group and it just never works but my friends are all finally in a good place where drama doesn't exist and we're all here to have fun and thats it. This weekend was jam packed with friends. I love it, it's the best part of the weekend! Friday My friend Tim had a party, saturday, I had a girls night in with some of the most awesome girlies in the world and sunday I had dance with the dance girls (which was absolutely awesome we finished one of our dances) and then went out with my best friend in the whole wide world. I never realized how important a best friend is. I think i take it forgranted that my best friend since 4th grade literally lives 5 mins from me. Some people don't have a best friend and if they do they don;t get to see em everyday like I do! So steph this post is mainly for you haha Love you forever and ever and ever~!!!!.......and ever ha

Scary!

I was working at the Plastic surgery office yesterday when I saw the most horrific and graphic thing I have ever seen! Over the weekend one of Dr.Davis' friends called asking him to meet them at the hospital. They were in desperate need of emergency surgery and only trusted him so he rushed right over to see how he could help. Well this family had a lovable family dog which happened to be a pittbull. They never had any othe problems before but with their instincts sometimes accidents happen. Well for no reason what so ever the dog attacked the mother and bit her entire lip off. It was not pretty at all, im still gettin queasy just thinking about the pictures I saw. Luckily Dr. Davis is absolutely amazing he actually had to make her a new lip to sew on her and it came out amazing. I wish you could see the transformation he did, there is scarring but we have plenty of things that can heal most of it, but it will take awhile! The really hard part for the family was that they had to put the dog down bc what if it was one of their kids he had attacked. Accidents happen, and pittbulls aren't always known as the nicest dogs even if you do train them to be friendly! So next time anyone is thinking about a big dog such as a pittbull or doberman etc. please keep this ladies story in mind! You don't want to see what I saw at the office yesterday!! (shudders) and please pray for the family the mom who prolly is in some pain right now, and for the kids who just lost their best friend!

For some odd reason I have always been really good with kids!! Now I have over a hundred kids so I have to be good with kids lol I really don't have a choice. Well the other day as I walk into the studio there was a baby that saw me so of course i was smiling, waving, talking to her, and then she reached for me to pick her up. Now keep in mind I don't know this baby or the mother b/c it was one of kim's students moms but she didnt mind at all. Then one of my students mothers goes, "damn ali you really have the magic touch with kids. What is it that you do?" Then all the other moms started to agree with her it felt nice to hear that im doing a good job and that they all trust me with their kids even if they don't know me. lol well the secret is everyone.... that I just honeslty love and enjoy kids and I love to make them happy, so thats what I do, and apparently it works. Now one of my fellow co dance teachers just had her baby boy a couple days ago, and he is absolutely adorable, im already in love. I can't wait to watch him grow up, he is gonna be such a cutie. I'm so excited for Becca she totally deserves the happiness of motherhood. She and her husband work so hard for everything they have, they never mooch and the house they just bought is soo darling. Its so perfect for the new family of 3. Im going to visit in the next couple days and will have pics to post up!! I can't wait

Job Perks Rock!!!

What would a job be if there weren't any perks? I mean Jon's job is helping him learn more about cars by actually working on them...experience is definitely the best way too learn, not to mention the 20% off discount he gets on anything in the store, I dunno about you guys but I love buying stuff for cheaper than it actually is hah. My dance job I get soo many of the wonderful perks as normal teachers get... teaching a little one self discipline, confidence, how to dance, seeing their faces light up when they finally get a new step, just knowing that your a huge part of their life is wonderful. Also the completely free dance lessons don't exactly hurt either :-). My magician job's perks involve traveling and seeing new things I've never seen before for instance I would have never seen the balloon festival if it weren't for my job. It was def. a cool experience and staying in nice hotels for free is also kind of fun... like a mini vacation with my friend Andrea who is also an assistant with me. My third job's perks are also pretty cool and actually brings me to my reason for this post. Every year at the plastic surgery office we get drug reps who come in with brand new products that aren't on the market yet, but have just been approved by the fda. They give the entire staff samples, and we decide that if they work really well than we will sell their product. Well last year it was the clarisonic brush, it was actually on oprah's favorite things list last year. Its one of those extremely expensive high tech face washers that works awesome. I love it, it takes off the heaviest amount of make up (when i perform i have to overdue the makeup and look close to a clown lol)and deep cleans better than anything out there. The year before that it was the zapper. Its for if you have pimple you put the zapper on it for a couple of minutes and by the end of the day your zit will be gone. It's the only thing out on the market that can make acne go away in the same day its pretty cool considering I used to have acne problems. Well Yesterday at work I found out what this years product is, and Im really excited about trying it. It's called Latisse and what it does is make your eyelashes grow. It's this serum that you put on like eyeliner on your lashes before you goto bed, and apparently in a couple of weeks my lashes are supposed to grow double in size and become fuller and longer. I really hope it works, but we will find out soon enough. I get the product in a couple of weeks so its just wait time til then. I know these are all silly things, but its the silly simple things like small job perks that make me happy. They just remind me on why I work so hard. I feel like in life that if you work hard enough, you'll see results, and be rewarded for them. lol well....... at least thats what i would like to believe :-)

Super Bowl!!!

Woot Woot I love Superbowl time!!!! My family as usual threw a huge party with tons of friends and food. We had an amazing time! We also had another block pool which is always tons of fun, although this year Jon and I did not win like last year, but thats okay we can't win everytime lol. My parents of course made wayyy tooo much of the most amazing foods, they make the best home made food in the world, I may be a lil biased.....but all of my friends were raving about the food so im still very confident in saying so. Spending the day with people who care about you is such a great way to end the weekend. Im so glad I have a loving family with no crap drama. Im so thankful that they're the least selfish people I have ever met, yet they have the most fun out of any older people I know. Now im just bragging here for having awesome parents b/c when I was younger I didn't realize how good I had it. I thought they were unfair and was not exactly the perfect child... so to make up for all that lost time I like to tell everyone just how wonderful they are. Soooo thanks to the Dukes... ya know the ones that always made sure I had clothes, food, shelter, dance lessons, etc. :-)Goodnight

Hotel for Dogs

Im such a sucker for cute dog movies, and I am so lucky that I have a loving boyfriend that will see any disney girly romantic movies I desire. I see his movies too just not nearly as often. Well just so you know hotel for dogs was adorable. It was perfect for kids, I loved the story line, and there was nonstop laughter from the cute things the doggies did. Even Jon enjoyed himself (I think he's a sucker for dogs 2 since he got Looshie but just wont admit it (-:) and was laughing the whole time. The perfect mindless kind of movie i was looking for. We also saw Underworld a couple days ago, which was really good also!! More Jon's kind of movie than mine, but hey I love vampires especially after reading all 4twillight books. I love being able to end a relaxing night with a movie!!! I feel truly blessed! ;-) Goodnight!!!

Sicky :-(

I am sick in bed all day today....YUCK!!!! I hate being sick, but thats just b/c I get sick allllll the time! The one downfall to my amazing beloved teaching job, is that little kids love to carry germs, and due to my lymes disease I have a very low weak immune system. So its very likely for me to get sick 5-10 times a year. lol ask Jon how many times we've been to the hospital for me, since we've been together. It's been at least 5-6 times in the past 3 1/2 years, and they were all for something different. I try to do everything I can to keep germ free but nothing works. I wash my hands alll the time, I keep anti-bacterial in my purse at all times, and also tylenol. I even take vitamins in hopes that will help. But I guess this is just something I will have to get used too. You would think that I would be used to it by now, especially after 3 years of my life being in bed with tubes up my arm, but it's actually more difficult now. I feel that I just wasted soo much time (my highschool years) in bed, that it makes it harder for me to be in bed now. It brings back bad memories of when I was too ill to even hang out with friends, or go to the movies. I remember going shopping with my mom and having to call it quits after fifteen minutes b/c my body wasn't strong enough to walk around yet. I don't ever wanna be back in a situation like that, they were the darkest times of my life. But i thank god that im not as sick as I used to be. I know god has a plan for me, but I really do hope that one day in that plan that he'll help my immune system become stronger, so I can teach without any worries of a little kid sneeziing and then grabbing my hand haha!

Dance,dance,and more Dance

My job as a Dance teacher is more than I could ever ask for....but sometimes, it is a lot to handle. Last year when I started I only had one class on my own. I was assistant to 5 other classes but, only the one class had my choreography. This year Mrs. Kathy bumped me up to 11 classes all on my own, and thats not to mention the 5 classes that I take to learn. Thats sixteen dances that I have to remember, and some of the classes I teach, I'm teaching 2 dances for the recital, and its the same with my class so its really 20 dances of choreography for me to make up, teach, learn, and practice for our June show. I'm at the studio everyday that were open. There's only one other teacher in my school that has more classes than I do, and she only has 2 more classes than myself. Now I am truly flattered that Kathy gave this schedule to me bc she knew I could handle it....but I'm def. getting nervous now thats its about that time again to start choreographing. Everything has to be different,creative, and awesome in their own way b/c im a perfectionst. Is it possible to do that with 20 different songs? Well I am about to find out soon enough. Now if that wasn't enough for you, lets also add my job at the plastic surgery office, My magician's assitant job, and the laundry job I have. I have a full plate right now, I mean the money's nice, but sometimes I feel like i'm doing way too much!! Oh well, pray that I keep my sanity trying to make each dance different!!! :-)
