Hotel for Dogs

Im such a sucker for cute dog movies, and I am so lucky that I have a loving boyfriend that will see any disney girly romantic movies I desire. I see his movies too just not nearly as often. Well just so you know hotel for dogs was adorable. It was perfect for kids, I loved the story line, and there was nonstop laughter from the cute things the doggies did. Even Jon enjoyed himself (I think he's a sucker for dogs 2 since he got Looshie but just wont admit it (-:) and was laughing the whole time. The perfect mindless kind of movie i was looking for. We also saw Underworld a couple days ago, which was really good also!! More Jon's kind of movie than mine, but hey I love vampires especially after reading all 4twillight books. I love being able to end a relaxing night with a movie!!! I feel truly blessed! ;-) Goodnight!!!

Sicky :-(

I am sick in bed all day today....YUCK!!!! I hate being sick, but thats just b/c I get sick allllll the time! The one downfall to my amazing beloved teaching job, is that little kids love to carry germs, and due to my lymes disease I have a very low weak immune system. So its very likely for me to get sick 5-10 times a year. lol ask Jon how many times we've been to the hospital for me, since we've been together. It's been at least 5-6 times in the past 3 1/2 years, and they were all for something different. I try to do everything I can to keep germ free but nothing works. I wash my hands alll the time, I keep anti-bacterial in my purse at all times, and also tylenol. I even take vitamins in hopes that will help. But I guess this is just something I will have to get used too. You would think that I would be used to it by now, especially after 3 years of my life being in bed with tubes up my arm, but it's actually more difficult now. I feel that I just wasted soo much time (my highschool years) in bed, that it makes it harder for me to be in bed now. It brings back bad memories of when I was too ill to even hang out with friends, or go to the movies. I remember going shopping with my mom and having to call it quits after fifteen minutes b/c my body wasn't strong enough to walk around yet. I don't ever wanna be back in a situation like that, they were the darkest times of my life. But i thank god that im not as sick as I used to be. I know god has a plan for me, but I really do hope that one day in that plan that he'll help my immune system become stronger, so I can teach without any worries of a little kid sneeziing and then grabbing my hand haha!

Dance,dance,and more Dance

My job as a Dance teacher is more than I could ever ask for....but sometimes, it is a lot to handle. Last year when I started I only had one class on my own. I was assistant to 5 other classes but, only the one class had my choreography. This year Mrs. Kathy bumped me up to 11 classes all on my own, and thats not to mention the 5 classes that I take to learn. Thats sixteen dances that I have to remember, and some of the classes I teach, I'm teaching 2 dances for the recital, and its the same with my class so its really 20 dances of choreography for me to make up, teach, learn, and practice for our June show. I'm at the studio everyday that were open. There's only one other teacher in my school that has more classes than I do, and she only has 2 more classes than myself. Now I am truly flattered that Kathy gave this schedule to me bc she knew I could handle it....but I'm def. getting nervous now thats its about that time again to start choreographing. Everything has to be different, creative, and awesome in their own way b/c im a perfectionst. Is it possible to do that with 20 different songs? Well I am about to find out soon enough. Now if that wasn't enough for you, lets also add my job at the plastic surgery office, My magician's assitant job, and the laundry job I have. I have a full plate right now, I mean the money's nice, but sometimes I feel like i'm doing way too much!! Oh well, pray that I keep my sanity trying to make each dance different!!! :-)

vegas info

We did so many awesome things I have no idea how to not make this a 100 page book. lol so ill try as best as I can to give ya's the readers digest version.
FIRST DAY
- started at Ceasar's, looked at all the amazing sculptures and art. Went to the pussycat dolls lounge, Our friend Mrs. Getz won a jackpot within the first 2 hours we were there. $1200 dollars.. awesome huh. Checked out the bars they had which were a pirate ship and flare bar (pirate one was awesome, fog and lights everywhere).
- Next we explored some more, every casino has a mall in it, not just any mall, like think 10 times bigger than the depfort mall. with stores like gucci, lous vitton, dior, etc al. Checked out casino royale, which is where the cheaper gambling is.
- next went to an amazing dinner at beptista's, they have this awesome old guy playing an accordian while your eating.
- Got ready for the night, and went out to Pure night club with everyone. we had a group of about 20 people, but just the kids went. Jon, my brother, his friends, my friends, we all danced all night long, it was an amazing time.
- Day 2 we explored the left side of the vegas strip, which was mgm where they had the lions, bally's which is where the price is right is(also it had an awesome water show outside), saw the eiffel tower in paris, ny ny where they have an awesome rollercoster ,the sahara, the miracle mile mall (which is one of the biggest in the world) we went to the biggest M&M store in the world (its 4 stories, and has everything you can possibly imagine) and Mandalay bay which had an amazing aquarium. Madalay bay was the best, they had a unicorn fish (have you ever seen one?) and only the biggest most vicious lizard in the world the comodo dragon. They also had a bar called the red door. Where the entire bar is made of ice, they give you fur coats when you go in, and everything is made of ice, it was very cool.
- Next we went to dinner at p.f changs. We had our own private room and it was the best chinese food i have ever had. We had another amzing time.
- Next all the kids ventured out to this club across from our hotel called the rockhouse, we danced and had fun all night and Jon bought me a pair of glowing bunny ears lol I loved em and worm em the whole night hah.
- Day 3 was price is right day, and you guys already know the scoop about that. Except that the guy who got called up for the showcase, actually was 100 dollars within his guess so he ended up winning a car, a 4 day cruise, a flat screen tv, dinner for 4 at this steakhouse, and a telescope. I was talking to him afterwaards when we were signing papers and his wife was pregnant and they needed a car. It was so perfect for them and they def. deserved it!
- After the price is right, we ventured out to explore the right side of the vegas strip, so we hit the venetian, the palazzo, the luxor and treasure island. The venetian was gorgeous and had gondola rides going through the entire hotel, the palazzo was a casino that you just look in due to how expensive it is, but it was still beautiful. The luxor is in the shape of a giant pyramid with a spinx right in front, its absolutely beautiful, and chris angel (the freak magician)performs there. Treasure Island is awesome 2, the entire hotel is shaped in an x. (for x marks the spot lol) They had a free pirate show going on outside that we were able to catch.
- From there, we hit the old vegas strip also known as freemont street. They had an amazing light show that went on every hour for free. We then went to Tony Roma's, this incredible steak house for dinner. It was delish!!
- After that Jon, my mom, my dad, and I hit the stratosphere. My parents were too scared but Jon and I rode all 3 thrill rides they had. By the way thses thrill rides are 1000 feet in the air on top of the building. The highest thrill rides in the world. It was soo awesome and scary all at the same time. The big shot we rode first which is a drop ride, the 2nd was a see saw that teeters you over the edge face first, and the 3rd ride was like super killer swings, it took you off of the edge again and spun ya around really fast. By the way the view, is the most incredible thing i have ever seen. I swear you can see everything, including other states.
- 4th day was our last day, and we left at 2 so we did't have a lot of time to get much done. Jon and I had to pick out one last thing we wanted to do before we left. So we took a bus back to the old strip (freemont st) to go to the golden nugget. They had a water slide that went through a shark tank, that I was determined to go down. We did and it was s0o0o cool to watch a 6 foot tiger shark be 5 inches away from your face as your sliding. Then unfortunately it was time to leave, it was very sad to come home to 15 degree weather, when it was 75 and sunny everyday in Navada. But we had the best time, so Jon and I are not complaining. Geez i really tried to make this short lol,and I left out huge details and small things. sorry everyone but we never stoppped so we had soo much to share.... Now enough about us...tell us whats going on? anything fun and exciting happen while we were gone? Oh and Don't worry pics will be next :) goodnight!!!

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! CHILDHOOD DREAM COMES TRUE

So as most of you know from an earlier post one of the days we were in vegas we got to go to see the price is right live. Well let me start off by saying that it was amzing! 3 people from our group got called up. Mrs Getz my moms friend got to spin the big wheel and won $250 dollars, Katie, didn't win her thing but still got a t-shirt, and last but not least I got called up. I couldn't believe it when I heard my name, I jumped up cheering, high fiving people on the way up naturally i was smiling and screaming lol. So one of the pretty ladies brought out a camera to bid on, I guessed $130 dollars......Then I heard it..... COME ON UP ALEXANDRA YOU JUST WON YOURSELF A NEW CAMERA! Well once again i started screaming and went up to talk to the host, explaining to him that were in vegas for my 21st birthday. Then he said well have I got a surprise for you... The doors opened and out came my absolute alll time favorite game. I wish you guys could have seen my face when I saw that I was gonna be playing PLINKO! I couldn't believe it. I'll spare ya's from making this too long, but in the end I won $400 dollars and a camera. It was honestly the best birthday present i could have ever asked for. I was on cloud 9 for the rest of the trip, lol especially since I now had an extra 4 hundred dollars to play with. I never thought fulfilling a childhood dream could feel sooooo good. After the show you had sign papers to make sure i was of age, and give them my address so they could ship the camera. It's expected in a couple weeks. I never thought someone like me could ever be sooo lucky!! Unfortunately they took your cameras before you could go in so we didn't get any pictures, but don't worry I will remember this for the rest of my life so I won;t need em. My memory of that day will forever be etched in my mind!

Home Sweet Home!

Were BACKKKKKK!!!! We had an amazing, unbelievable, incredible time....hmmm none of these even describe how much fun we had lol!! But it's late, the flight home was long and i missed my water bed ohhhh soo much hah. So goodnight, I will post details and the millions of pics we took later!!! Cross your fingers for no jet lag!

It makes me realize how fortunate I am to really LOVE my job. Not many people can say they get paid for doing something they love. Whats even better is that when Jon finishes school next year, he'll have a job he loves doing also. Thats pretty amazing, lol at least to me. But boy let me tell ya, first week back does also have some set backs. I think my body is officialy mad at me for the 3 hour non stop dance session lol. Hope everyone has a good (non-sore) night!!

A Different Kind Of New Years!

Well were back from our small trip to Hershey! We had a good time, it was definitely a memerable new years! We were not the only entertainment in the Hotel, they had 3 giant ballrooms with indoor carnivals (no joke lol) with Every kind of ride and blow up moon bounces you could think of! They also had Huge projection screens everywhere to display the big ball drop, that was also playing shrek to pass the time til midnight. There were giant hershey kisses, reece cups, and hershey bars walking around taking pictures with kids, there was cotton candy, popcorn, make you own sundae stations..... Pretty much any little kids dream birthday party lol! The had a huge dance floor with a Dj in every room, along with an entire room devoted to carnival games. Needless to say it was utter choas, with kids and people everywhere! But that was good news for us, b/c we got to put our magic show out to a lot of people, so were hoping for good results from the agents! Keep your fingers crossed for us :-) Anywayz i worked jon helped by taking pictures for us! We kissed at Midnight, called a bunch of friends and family to wish them a happy new year, and then relaxed and went to bed! So it was eventful just not in the traditional new years way! I hope everyone had a great holliday and enjoyed their time off!! Happy new years everyone!!!
